City of Forest Day in Gowanus

About

Street cleaning along Fourth Avenue followed by tree-bed care and garden restoration on the surrounding blocks, with team-leader roles for anyone wanting extra training. Meet at GreenSpace on 4th, 207 Fourth Ave, by Union St (R). Free registration on Eventbrite; Saturday 3 October, cleanup 9–11:30am and tree care 10am–1pm, under-14s with a parent or guardian. Newtown Creek Alliance runs its own City of Forest Day shoreline cleanup at Plank Road the same morning, so North and Brownstone Brooklyn volunteers have a choice.
