Most event sites file every workshop under one heading, which is no use to anyone: throwing a pot and binding a book are not the same errand. Pick the craft and you get only that craft, with each studio's own price and dates.
Why the numbers are on the buttons
Because a directory that sends you to an empty page has wasted your time. The count is what is actually on that page right now — upcoming dates, live terms and book-any-day sessions together. Crafts still building up are marked in orange, and those pages stay out of search results until they have something worth landing on.
