Everything on the calendar where you make something and it costs nothing — drop-in studio sessions, museum craft tables, park arts-and-crafts and community craft nights. Where a free session caps numbers or asks you to register, the card says so.

This is the smallest of the three free lists, and honestly so: free tuition is rare, because somebody has to pay for the clay. Most of what lands here comes from museums running open studio sessions, parks departments running arts and crafts, and studios opening a community night. If a paid studio offers a free taster we list it, and we say when the free part is only the admission.
The rest of what’s free
The good ones sell out.
Follow a craft and we'll email you the moment a new class or registration window opens — before it's gone.
