A one-day intensive in Coptic bookbinding, sewing folded signatures to hard covers with an exposed chain stitch along the spine so the finished book opens flat. At the Textile Arts Center, 505 Carroll St in Gowanus, near Union St (R). Sunday January 24, 2027, 11am to 5pm; TAC prices its full-day intensives between $225 and $450, with the exact fee on the booking page. Thirteen of the 18 textile and fiber classes on our calendar are in Brownstone Brooklyn, nearly all of them at TAC.
