A one-day intensive covering the core hand-embroidery stitches, from back stitch and satin stitch to French knots, worked up on a sampler you keep as a reference. At the Textile Arts Center, 505 Carroll St in Gowanus, near Union St (R). Sunday January 17, 2027, 11am to 5pm; TAC prices its full-day intensives between $225 and $450, with the exact fee on the booking page. Thirteen of the 18 textile and fiber classes on our calendar are in Brownstone Brooklyn, nearly all of them at TAC.
