A one-day intensive in spinning yarn from fibre, starting on a drop spindle and moving to the wheel to draft, twist and ply a skein of your own. At the Textile Arts Center, 505 Carroll St in Gowanus, near Union St (R). Saturday November 14, 2026, 11am to 5pm; TAC prices its full-day intensives between $225 and $450, with the exact fee on the booking page. Thirteen of the 18 textile and fiber classes on our calendar are in Brownstone Brooklyn, nearly all of them at TAC.
