A two-day beginners' course in hand leatherwork: cutting, edge finishing, saddle stitching and hardware, building up to a finished small piece. At the Textile Arts Center, 505 Carroll St in Gowanus, near Union St (R). Saturday and Sunday November 14–15, 2026, 11am to 5pm each day; TAC prices its full-day intensives between $225 and $450, with the exact fee on the booking page, and students get a week of free open studio afterwards. Thirteen of the 18 textile and fiber classes on our calendar are in Brownstone Brooklyn, nearly all of them at TAC.
