Machine Knitting 101 Weekend Intensive

A two-day introduction to the domestic knitting machine: casting on, tension, basic stitch patterns and finishing a sample piece on the studio's machines. At the Textile Arts Center, 505 Carroll St in Gowanus, near Union St (R). Saturday and Sunday October 24–25, 2026, 11am to 5pm each day; TAC prices its full-day intensives between $225 and $450, with the exact fee on the booking page, and students get a week of free open studio afterwards. Thirteen of the 18 textile and fiber classes on our calendar are in Brownstone Brooklyn, nearly all of them at TAC.
