Four weekday mornings making a woodworking mallet with tapered mortise-and-tenon joinery, using hand tools only. Tuesday to Friday, 13–16 October, 10am–1pm, at Makeville's Gowanus woodshop, 119 8th St, a short walk from 4 Av–9 St (F, G, R). $435 tuition plus a $60 materials and equipment fee. It is the only class on our calendar devoted to hand-tool joinery.
