Sculpting Light with Cyanotype

A hands-on cyanotype workshop with artist Ella Barnes: camera-less prints made by arranging simple and translucent materials into shadow assemblages and exposing them on iron-salt-coated archival paper, then developing them in water. At CultureHub, 47 Great Jones St (3rd floor) in NoHo, a few minutes from Bleecker St (6) and Broadway–Lafayette St (B/D/F/M). Saturday 3 October, 1 to 4:30 pm; $185 with all materials included and no experience needed, and CultureHub members get 20% off tickets. It is one of two cyanotype classes on our calendar this month; the other is Center for Book Arts' Cyanotype to Concertina on 10 October, which folds the prints into a book.
