Man in Black (2023) Screening

About

Wang Bing's first film shot outside China is a portrait of composer Wang Xilin, who at 86 recounts his persecution during the Cultural Revolution on an empty Paris stage while excerpts of his symphonies swell. It screens Tuesday, October 13 at 4:30pm in Theater 2 at MoMA, 11 West 53rd Street (E/M to 5 Av/53 St), within the series accompanying The Craft: Claire Atherton; the museum doesn't publish a price on this listing, so check its ticket page. It joins six approved upcoming film screenings in Midtown on our calendar.
