Family Art Project: Revealing the Palisades

About

A drop-in family art session on the geology of the Palisades cliffs across the Hudson, where kids and grown-ups use sand casting to build their own sculptural rock formation. Meet at Wave Hill House, 4900 Independence Ave in Riverdale, via Metro-North to Riverdale or the 1 to 231st St plus the Bx7/Bx10 bus. This Sunday session runs Oct 18, 2026 from 10 am to 1 pm, free with admission to the grounds, no registration required. Family programs are 17 of the 56 upcoming Bronx listings on our calendar, and Wave Hill's weekend art projects are the backbone of them.
