Soil Health Field Day with Cornell Cooperative Extension

About

A hands-on look at soil health for urban growers with Cornell Cooperative Extension’s urban ag team and other NYC soil folks, pulling out all our best field demos: rainfall simulation, cover crop seeding and termination (with a cover crop seed giveaway), characterizing soil texture, and more. Take the penetrometer for a spin, learn how to read a soil test (and bring your own test results along!), and most importantly, hear about other urban farmers’ experiences dealing with their own unique soils. Food and farmer chats begin at 11:30 a.m., demos begin at 1:00 p.m. Part of the New York Soil Health Field Day series.
